HelloSign / Dropbox Sign integration — e-signature on CRM quotes
Oneop sends CRM quotes for signature through Dropbox Sign (HelloSign) and tracks status via an HMAC-verified, fail-closed webhook. Opt-in.
HelloSign — now Dropbox Sign — is the second of Oneop’s two e-signature integrations, functionally parallel to DocuSign. Pick whichever your business already pays for.
What it does
Send a CRM quote for e-signature through Dropbox Sign and track the signing status on the quote record. When the recipient signs, the webhook updates Oneop, so the deal’s paperwork state lives where the deal lives.
What flows, in which direction
- Outbound: the quote, sent for signature.
- Inbound: signing-status events via webhook.
- The webhook is HMAC-verified and fail-closed: with no signing key configured, or an invalid signature, the event is rejected with a 401. Oneop never trusts an unverified “signed” event.
Setup
The deployment is configured with the HelloSign webhook key, with the matching key registered in the Dropbox Sign dashboard, and the e-signature module enabled.
What it does not do
- Quotes only. E-signature is wired to CRM quotes — not invoices, contracts or arbitrary documents.
- No template libraries, bulk-send, or embedded signing pages beyond the quote flow.
- Not a general Dropbox integration — no file sync with Dropbox storage.
Related module and plan notes
Off until you ask for it; e-signature is turned on for your workspace deliberately. Works with quotes in the CRM module (quotes are Starter and above). A signed quote continues down the same system: quote to sales order to invoice, on one record.
