DocuSign integration — e-signature on CRM quotes

A quote that needs a signature usually leaves the CRM — exported, emailed, signed somewhere, and reconciled by hand. The DocuSign integration keeps the loop inside the deal record.

What it does

Send a CRM quote for e-signature through DocuSign and track its signing status on the quote itself. When the recipient signs, DocuSign’s webhook updates Oneop — so the quote’s state in the CRM reflects reality without anyone checking a second inbox.

What flows, in which direction

• Outbound: the quote, sent for signature.
• Inbound: signing-status events via webhook.
• The webhook is HMAC-verified and fail-closed: without the signing key configured, or with an invalid signature, the event is rejected with a 401 rather than trusted. A forged “it was signed” event does not update your quote.

Setup

The deployment is configured with the DocuSign webhook HMAC key, and a matching signing key is registered in DocuSign Connect. The e-signature module is then enabled per deployment.

What it does not do

Scope, stated precisely, because e-signature scope is where vendors overclaim:

• Quotes only. E-signature is wired to CRM quotes — not invoices, not contracts, not arbitrary document upload-and-sign.
• No template management, bulk-send envelopes, or in-person signing workflows.
• Oneop is not a DocuSign replacement; it drives DocuSign for one document type it owns.
